I still need to watch the original series. I tried to watch the new one but I think it was trying to take on a similar storyline to Aldnoah.Zero (unless I’m thinking of another mecha-space anime, which is entirely possible) and I couldn’t get past that.
Right now, I’m going through Neon Genesis: Evangelion for the first time and really enjoying it.

Have you seen the Macross series? I have been a huge Macross and Robotech fan since I was a kid. I remember watching them when I was like 6 or 7 and it started an obsession that I have today still. I just wish someone could get the US rights and distribution away from Harmony Gold.
